Developments in May

 We told you long ago to get ready for another Sussex 'changemaker' month in June. 

Then, something happened this week that truly left us floored. 

First, at our office in Rome, we received a note in the mail which we interpreted as a veiled threat. 
Our office address is not listed so this is surprising. It has been turned over to proper authority and there doesn't seem to be a physical danger to either my colleague or I. 

Days later,  an email from what looks to be from @Archewell.com.
Despite digitally analyzing this email and it's origins, there are email spoofing applications which can allow any user to send an email marked from any email address. 

To be so honest, I do believe the email to be spoofed as I cannot imagine a real Sussex representative would act so unprofessionally, with an angry tone demanding we cease our Twitter account. 

The email demands we not continue to report on Sussex duo in any capacity. 

In our recent Tweet, we said "Official Squad" but know that I believe in some way these harassers are working directly for the pair themselves. 

Finally as many of you know, since the erroneous suspension of our original Barkjack Account Feb 07 2022 on Twitter (breaking news) we have refrained at all costs from even mentioning the pair by name lest they bombard us with false reports to trigger another permanent suspension. Our Twitter suspension and the entire network that got taken out with us, (our closest contacts on Twitter) was unwarranted, without warning or recourse. It was wrong. We broke no rules in breaking news.

We report on the newsworthy. At times, this includes defected members of the Royal Family, understandably. We aim to be un-biased, factual and truthful in all our reports. We don't encourage disrespect nor would we ever use foul language, thus we decided we shall continue our reporting on Twitter, as we have done, previously without incident since 2013. 

Once again it is time to thank all of you, you who have been there, taking stock, screen shots of our accuracies and the times we may have missed the mark, while not often, (it has happened once or twice).

We also thank you for your continued support of authenticity and our evidence based,  investigative reporting style. All the very best to our followers. 

In closing, I tip my hat to our follower Betsy who sparked interest in writing this blog entry about the situation in greater detail; she also picked up on the odd wording of the tweet. We were forced to word it as such, again to refrain from mentioning the pair by name.  Thanks all around.
