The Only BarkJack Accounts Run by Us!

On Twitter since 2013 we operated under the handle @barkjack. As many of you know, that handle was recently targeted and taken down, we were cited as "spam" despite being real human beings behind the account breaking non-offensive headline news, as diplomatically as possible.

The only other place you will find us now is here:
https://theresalongofanpagerome.blogspot.com/

We did attempt to rejoin twitter as @BarkJack_ and perhaps once we concede to Twitter's security requirements we may be able to Tweet there. Any other accounts on Twitter are NOT us.

We are aware of accounts becoming active who have "barkjack" with #s in their names.
It is NOT us.

For us, this has never been about views or followers - we consistently break the truth and it speaks for itself. This is why it is easy to transition to a blog we started a very long time ago (2013) and never stuck with. See friends, everything always works out in the end.

Why "Theresa Longo?"

One of our last assignments with RAI 1 was covering Miss Italy World Pageant 2011. We immediately became drawn to one of the most broad smiling, genuine, humble and caring individuals both of us had ever encountered in our entire 40 year career spans, a combined 80 years: the contestant representing North America named Theresa Longo.  Here she was, well practiced enough to converse with us in Italian, (the only Western participant to do so), pleasant to absolutely everyone and totally natural in appearance except for her hair color (which made her stand out even more as one of the only blondes). I was beyond impressed with her intelligence, sharp wit and her ability to adapt to our culture with gusto. Ok, she was well travelled before, but this was still impressive to witness as she'd come from "across the pond". While other contestants were bickering, feuding or sabotaging one another, Theresa soaked up all meetings, photo ops and acted gracious with sponsors, seemingly very appreciative of the "Miss Italy" experience.

Some of the photo ops were monotonous and downright boring: visiting a factory by bus in Calabria or a journal publication headquarters. The banality was apparent in the faces and attitudes of many contestants, but not Theresa. More so, she made everyone who interacted with her feel good. Yeah, in our industry, that is rare. As we closed our careers in the professional eye and opted to dedicate ourselves to breaking news we knew and learned though years of working in celebrity circles, it seemed only fitting to honor one of the brightest and best ambassadors we'd ever met: Theresa!

She is not affiliated with our Twitter account or website and as we mention many times we are simply eager fans who want to show support. Thanks for helping us wish her a Happy Birthday on Twitter since we were not able to.

Lyrics from a classical Italian love aria.

I too am an American with a gusto for all things Italian, ever since I studied classical voice, opera 35 years ago! I have traveled all over Italy, from Milan to Amalfi, solo, soaking up all of the culture. I kick myself for forgetting all the Italian I learned, all I can remember is, "La donna mangia."

I discovered your blog via (I didn't forget all Italian) Megxit Twitter followers. Great job following and uncovering the Meghan and Harry shenanigans,(bravissimo!).

You're fantastic, I'll spread the word.

    Molte grazie!
