She Finally Mentioned us!

I personally interviewed Theresa Longo in 2011 for Miss Italy, broadcast live on RAI 1.
Why'd we dedicate our accounts to her? We told you here and at the bottom of the post. It was brought to our attention that she TWEETED IN SUPPORT OF US!

An ENTIRE THREAD about the situation!

A delight to know she is aware of our "censorship" battle and situation! (We're floored) This is such a great Easter Treat! OK- She doesn't follow us but there were jumps for joy.  It's pretty cool.

More reasons to love her:

She isn't your typical "woke" actress; she's in strong support of bodily autonomy, regularly Tweeting about unfair discrepancies in policies between her homes in Canada (strict lockdowns)  and Costa Rica (relaxed)  in fact I believe due to the latest triple vax requirements she is shunning the entire acting industry as a whole in favor of filming, directing and producing her own content (Regarding Luxury TV etc)

She turned down a lead role in feature film that didn't align with her values

(She is conservative, non nude actress).
So good was she, the directors and producers still wrote a scene stealing role for her and she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress on the film festival circuit for her snappy performance. The film showed in Berlin, Manhattan, Toronto and in other major cities on the big screen.

She made a guide to keep people safe online after she was almost lured after months of grooming. Yikes. Expert collaboration here, for parents to read along with kids.  They are free and downloadable.

Her wedding looked simple, humble and happy. Lots of smiles and a fun fact is Theresa went barefoot on the beach. She is coming up to her 4 year Wedding Anniversary on May 02, 2022.

Finally, she admitted being offered the chance to pose for 'Playboy'  turning down 5 figures in her early 20s saying "If I can't show my dad it's a no from me" She stood by her dying mentor during his cancer battle and revealed this tidbit about turning down Playboy Magazine in the 2000s.

It's evident examining her career and life choices Theresa Longo isn't motivated by money or greed. Good to know. That's our tribe!  During Miss Italy World she was gracious, kind and happy to be there.

What a refreshing change from ordinary!

Our post wouldn't be complete without good exclusives.
We actually caught T-Lo shading Kim K on Twitter amid the Kardashian Premiere last weekend and I'm here for it!

She tweeted and deleted:

Ouch!
Since we have her notifications on, we were lucky enough to preserve it for all eternity!

Thanks for sharing in our support of one of our favorite Miss Italy contestants OF ALL TIME,

Canada's Theresa Longo!

Why "Theresa Longo?"

One of our last assignments with RAI 1 was covering Miss Italy World Pageant 2011. We immediately became drawn to one of the most broad smiling, genuine, humble and caring individuals both of us had ever encountered in our entire 40 year career spans, a combined 80 years: the contestant representing North America named Theresa Longo. Here she was, well practiced enough to converse with us in Italian, (the only Western participant to do so), pleasant to absolutely everyone and totally natural in appearance except for her hair color (which made her stand out even more as one of the only blondes). I was beyond impressed with her intelligence, sharp wit and her ability to adapt to our culture with gusto. Ok, she was well travelled before, but this was still impressive to witness as she'd come from "across the pond". While other contestants were bickering, feuding or sabotaging one another, Theresa soaked up all meetings, photo ops and acted gracious with sponsors, seemingly very appreciative of the "Miss Italy" experience.

Some of the photo ops were monotonous and downright boring: visiting a factory by bus in Calabria or a journal publication headquarters. The banality was apparent in the faces and attitudes of many contestants, but not Theresa. More so, she made everyone who interacted with her feel good. Yeah, in our industry, that is rare. As we closed our careers in the professional eye and opted to dedicate ourselves to breaking news we knew and learned though years of working in celebrity circles, it seemed only fitting to honor one of the brightest and best ambassadors we'd ever met: Theresa!
